MTOSS in CMM?

I was looking at the ATA-100 and Boeing Specs eserday and I couldn't find any reference that says that CMMs should have MTOSS for tasks/subtasks. AMMs should have AMTOSS but nothing is mentioned about MTOSS for CMMs in ATA100?

Can anyone point to specs (version/para/page) that support having MTOSS in a CMM?

I have seen some CMMs with MTOSS but don't understand the need and usefulness.
